It's a bit of a love/hate relationship really, and has been a rocky road over the last couple of years. I dabbled for a time with Ultrafractals, and ended up with some really awesome artworks like this....
But then I'd get busy, and the skills I'd picked up while playing with Ultrafractals would grow dim, and I'd have to start learning all over again the next time I was inspired to try.
Through the recent Christmas holidays, I had another play with Aphohysis, another great fractal program, and really started to understand the workings behind the fractal formulas. Fractals are the result of mathematical formulas, with infinate possibilities. I've fallen even deeper in love with Apophysis... (It's OK Jim, still plenty left for you)... Instead of endless spiral designs which I created with Ultrafractals, now there are amazing other possibilities like....
I created a 2010 Calendar from my fractal designs and hope to have another ready for 2011... enough time to experiment and explore 12 more amazing designs.
